Hodal / होडल

Hodal lies four miles south-east of Banchari on the Delhi–Mathura highway. Near this village is Pandav van, where the Pandavas resided during their exile. The nearby Pandav-kund is where the Pandavas used to bath and drink water.

Kunjarvan

South-west of Hodal, about one mile away, is Kunjarvan, where Krishna used to play with the sakhis in the kunjas. Sometimes, many sakhis together would make themselves into an elephant (kunjara) here, which Shri Krishna rode. Because this incident took place here, this place became known as Kunjarvan.
