Turvasu / तुर्वसु

• Son of King Yayati and Devyani who denied his father's request to forfeit his youth.
• When Yayati was cursed by Shukra to become prematurely old, he asked his sons to exchange their youth with his old age for a period of thousand years.
• Turvasu refused to take his father's infirmities on him, in consequence of which Yayati cursed him that his race would become extinct, while Turvasu himself would rule over people whose customs and laws were corrupt and who would not follow the path of decency.
