Attri / अत्रि

Attri, a sage who was a composer of some Vedic hymns. He was one of the ten Prajapatis or mind-born sons of Brahma and also one of the sages of the Saptarishi. Attri sprang forth from Brahma's eyes. When Attri was destroyed by Shiv's curse, Brahma performed a sacrifice and from its flames, Attri was reborn. His wife was Ansuya. Dattatrey, Som and Durvasa were their sons.
