Parvati / पार्वती
- Parvati was a daughter of Himvan and Mena.
- She performed severe penances to obtain Shiv as her husband, and after several thousands of years, Shiv was pleased with her and married her.
- She bore him a son named Ganesh. She was also considered to be the mother of Kartikey.
- Parvati was an incarnation of Sati, the daughter of Daksh, who was married to Shiv.
