Uttara / उत्तरा

Uttara was the daughter of king Virat of Matsya by his wife Sudeshna.
The Pandav prince Arjun, when disguised as Brihannala during the thirteenth year of exile, served as the music and dancing teacher of Uttara.
Uttara was married to Abhimanyu, son of Arjun and was the mother of his son Parikshit.
